Welcome to Bedfordshire's Faith Watch. Faith Watch has been established for all places of worship as a way to help prevent crime and increase security. This is not just for the property itself, but also for the property of the community who attend these places of worship.

Places of Worship are vulnerable to crime for a number of reasons, and keeping the physical property secure, whilst at the same time making the building accessible to the public is of great importance.

Faith Watch encourages all places of worship to be open during the daylight hours, and continue to allow the public to partake in worship, as well as be open to community for events and fundraising. Faith Watch works alongside the police and other groups to give advice about crime, which may affect its members. It should also give a voice to raise any issues or concerns they may have.

Faith Watch members are asked to register with the Bedfordshire Police Ringmaster system, which broadcasts advice and messages to its members. The website will also contain advice on keeping a place of worship secure. It also provides members with infomation on the most prevalent crimes, and warns of any suspicious incidents in the area that they should be aware of.
