Bedford and District Neighbourhood Watch and the Bedfordshire Police Community Safety Team were out in force at the River Festival over the weekend, to promote Neighbourhood Watch, and the launch of the new Community Web Site.

During the 2 days Police Staff and Neighbourhood Watch volunteers from the Division, marked hundreds of mobile phones, bikes and mobility scooters.

Children collected stickers, note books and pens promoting the new web site, whilst residents were encouraged to sign up to the Ringmaster Messaging system to receive crime alerts for their local area.

500 packs containing crime reduction advice, security marking kits, and Neighbourhood Watch information, were given out to residents across the county.

A big thank you to all those who helped with the preparations for the event, as well as all those who gave up their weekend to work on the stand.
