• Contact the Neighbourhood Watch Central Office on 01234 275165, or email bedfordneighbourhoodwatch@bedfordshire.pnn.police.uk and check if there is already a scheme operating in your street.
  • If a scheme is not in operation a start up date will be arranged either at your house or a nearby hall.
  • Invites will be sent out to distribute amongst neighbours.
  • A representative from Neighbourhood Watch, and if available a member of the local Policing team, will attend the meeting to explain how Neighbourhood Watch works. The meeting will usually take about an hour.
  • A Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinator and deputy co-ordinator will be appointed at the meeting.
  • The co-ordinators will collect registration forms from residents and send them to the Neighbourhood Watch Central Office.
  • Co-ordinator to apply for street signs.
  • Keep communicating with your group through telephone, e-mail, newsletter or simply chatting in the street!
