“Ere. Can you keep a secret?
At this time of year I don’t need to creep about carrying a big bag and wearing all this clobber and a mask. Good job really ‘cos it’s startin’ to get a bit warm. I reckon that’s why you lot leave your doors and windows open.
You’re all so good to me I should send you a Christmas card this year.”
Don’t suffer from summer madness!
- Close windows when you go out.
- Don’t leave your doors open even when you’re at home.
Bikes
- Bicycles are a favourite target of criminals. Lock them away when not in use in a shed or garage and if possible chain them to an immovable object. More Bike Crime advice.
Vehicle
- Summer is a great time to visit the beauty spots in Bedfordshire but remember criminals may also visit these spots. Keep valuables in vehicles out of view. More Vehicle Crime Reduction advice
While You're Away
- A house with a 'lived in look' will be less attractive to potential burglars. Use timer switches on electrical items and lights and get a neighbour to lend a hand by making sure your post isn't on view and your dustbin is put away. More 'While Your Away' advice.
